Through the Family Mentoring Program, HOPE matches
carefully selected families who are struggling with poverty
related issues with a staff case manager and a team of
volunteer mentors. This mentoring team helps guide families
on a path to self-sufficiency by working with them to identify
individual goals and to develop a roadmap for achieving them.
Volunteers and families are matched based on the family’s
needs and the volunteer’s skills, talents and interests. HOPE
mentors serve as friends, advocates and bridges to the
community and work with client families on problem-solving and
identification of helpful resources.
